Molly’s a MAGICIAN??

Hey guys.  This post isn’t just a photo story, it’s a special announcement too. Read on, and the announcement will come at the end!

I, Saige Anaise Parker witnessed one of the many great fails of Molly Anne Parker.

I was talking to my bestie, Saige from this awesome blog,  and then Molly clumsily stumbled into the room with MY shirt on.

As well as her signature dorky converse, even dorkier compared to mine.  Real converse.

She waved her arms around like a monkey as I kept talking, and as Molly does best, she annoyed me.

I set down my phone.  “Talk to ya’ later Saige!”  and hung up.

“Molly, what on this green Earth are you doing?” I waved my hands around, mocking her, but clearly she didn’t take the hint.

“Prepare to be absolutely amazed!”  I rolled my eyes. Yeah right.

“I, Molly Anne Parker the great shall astonish you with my magic tricks!  It’s gonna’ be amazeballs!”

“I shall preform today for you, Saige, an array of tricks that have come from the center of the earth!”

OK, I’ll admit, I was a little worried.  And maybe not just for myself.

She flung out the deck of UNO cards.

What the?….

I simply sat back and watched.

 

“Pick a card, any card!”

I interrupted, “Um, I think we need a real c-”

“PICK A CARD!”

“Ope!  Okay!”

I picked a draw 2, and as soon as I did, I was asked to memorize it and put it back in the deck.  As soon as I finished that, she flung the cards all over the living room.

“Is this your card?”  she flicked out a yellow reverse.

“Uh.. No.”

“EXACTLY THE POINT!  Onto the next trick!”

She handed me a bag.  “Please make sure this bag is empty!”

“Um…. it’s not.”  I pulled out an orchid.

“Darn dang it…”  I heard her mumble as she swiftly retrieved the bag from me.

“I will now attempt the unthinkable, I will not bleed a single drop as I stick this ice pick through my hand!”

Oh no….

“Molly stop! This is dangerous!”  It became clear to me that she had been watching too much David Blaine.

“Hand over the icepick!”

“Aww, but next I was going to swallow water, then kerosine, and then shoot it out to make fire!”

That would kill 2 things:   Molly and the house.  Yeah, I made the right decision stopping her.

When I finally got the icepick out of her grab, I had an idea…

*one hour later*

“Saige, I don’t know if I like this outfit….”

I, now her assistant, dresses her in black heels and one of my sparkly black shirts.

“Just because lots of magicians dress like nerds and get away with it doesn’t mean you do.”

I watched with squinted eyes as Kit and Ellie entered the living room, plopping themselves on the couch.

“Time for some Love it Or List it!”I bit my tongue as Kit rolled those words out her mouth.  I would use it against her later, needn’t you worry.

“Would you like to see the amazing Saige and Molly MAGIC SHOW?”

“You know what, I’m behind on my weekend reading…” Kit exclaimed as Maryellen chimed in, “Yeah…. I got to go watch paint dry. like now.”

They walked out, a little too fast for my liking.

And so concluded our magical tricks.
