We asked YOU who YOU thought should WIN one of the 6 categories and the prizes that go along with them!

We wanted to tell you that even if your didn’t win, you are STILL AWESOME.

Just a quick refresh, the Paisley awards is an awards program for AG WordPress bloggers who don’t want to spend a lot of time filling out some form.  We make it quick and easy.  There are 6 categories, and now all you have to do is sit back and see who wins!

In case you are wondering, I’m wearing some random pair of AG tights, an AG tiara, and on Our Generation dress!

Let’s get started!  One more thing, these awards exploded!  You guys reacted better than we could ever expected!  We got over 20 nomination comments, and even more votes!  So thank you.

Category #1-Best Photo Series

“Hello!

My name is Avelyn, but you can call me Ava. I’m one of the dolls that you’ve probably seen over at Clara’s Craft Corner. 😀

Today, I’m here to share something exciting with you all. I’m not very good at speeches, but I’m gonna give this my best shot!

When Samantha told us that our photostory The Smallones had won Best Series in the Paisley Awards, we were so excited! I’m one of the ‘actors’ in that series, along with my sisters. The series tells the story of a girl named Ava (sound familiar?) who quite literally stumbles upon a tiny village of people called Smallones. What happens next is quite the adventure! We’d like to give a big thank you to all the people who voted for us! It means a lot that you enjoy our story. Clara has worked very hard to produce it…  she spends hours stuffing us into uncomfortable costumes, waving reflectors in our faces, and writing out long and complicated scripts we have to memorize. Sounds like fun, right?

 When I first started my blog, let’s just say my photography was not the best. My photos were noisy and had dark lighting. I used a small point and shoot camera for 6-7 months before my mom bought a Nikon 7.100. It came with 35 and 50mm lens. At first I didn’t really know how to use it with all the features, but over time, I figured out things and read the manual. It began to make a lot more sense. And then I did the only thing you can do when looking to improve – I practiced. Skill doesn’t come quickly, and I have a lot of photoshoots I can say are NOT my best. But I kept trying. If you’re looking to improve your own photography, don’t be afraid to take out your camera and shoot. Don’t be afraid of how bad it will turn out; you will most definitely have bad photos. But you will most definitely have good ones as time goes on. The important thing is that you keep trying. “
