Pen Pals!~ A Photo Story/Collab With Mya @AGLane123

Hey everybody!

So, My awesome pen pal, Mya have been pen pals for almost 2 years now, and we had this awesome idea for a collab a couple months ago, but we never got around to any pictures until about 2 weeks ago!

So, in this photo story, Emily plays Mya, because they look a lot alike, and I hope you enjoy, because I spent a ton of time on setting up her room, and.. yeah, we should just get into it!  XD

I sat in my room, scrolling through my blogging feed.  There was something about today that was special, I just couldn’t put my finger on it.  I somehow felt… lucky!

Cupcake leaped onto my lap, purring as she drew out a long purrr, begging for my attention, which I gladly gave her.

And then I remembered….

The winner of Agdollawesome’s giveaway would be posted today!

My eyes couldn’t believe what I saw as I opened Samantha’s blog…

I won!

I quickly typed out an email, enclosed with my address:

2 weeks later

Every single day since the winner was announced, I had gone outside to check the mail, and had been disappointed every day since, but I knew that it would come eventually, and I hoped that eventually was today!

I reached in, and sure enough, there was a crisp yellow package that I had been hoping for!

I collided with my bed as I began to tear it open…

What pretty tape! I thought.

I tore open the package with care,

…and pulled out the beautiful dress.

I fingered the lace detail, and I knew I had to try it on  my doll!

Beautiful!  ❤

I decided to create a quick post, as a thank you, but I knew that I needed to do something after that too..

Summer- Post 23″

1 week later

I was taking pictures of my dolls…

 And then I heard the ding of my phone…

I had gotten an email!

“Hey Mya!  It’s Samantha, and I just opened your letter!  Thank you so much for the fan mail, you made me so happy!  My dolls love everything you sent me!  I was wondering if you want to be pen pals with me!  What do you think?  I think that’s be so cool.  Ok, bye!”

Pen pals.  Of course!

 Oh my gosh, Keeper of The Lost cities is AMAZING! I thought as I lay on my bed, reading after a long day of school.

I went out to check the mail, as Samantha had told me she had sent me a letter earlier that week, ans sure enough, it was sitting there in the mail box!

I opened it up, and a surprise fell out of the envelope.  It was a beautiful friendship bracelet.

I tied it around my ankle, resolving to never take it off.  It would always be with me a little part of her friendship that I could carry.

January

I positioned my camera on a makeshift tripod, and hit the “record”button.

” Hi Samantha!  So… I got your letter today, and like we always have been doing lately, I decided to send you a video of me opening up!

” I really love the way you decorated the envelope this time, I wish I had enough stuff to do that with my letters!”

“Oh, here’s the letter,  guess I’ll read that first..”

“Thank you so much for the letter Samantha, you are so sweet!  I love being your BBFF too!  Best Blogging Friends Forever, right!?  You are so sweet, and I’m so sorry I haven’t caught up on my letters lately, but I like the plan on trying to exchange a letter each month!”

“Oh my gosh, it’s a little doll trophy!  Thank you so, so much!  I love it, this trophy will go great in Cecile’s room, I think.”

“Ooh, a doll camera!  You know, my dolls always need these, and I think Lea will like this, since she loves photography!”

“This poster is so cute, I’ll tape it up as soon as I can!  I love it!  I wish I had a color printer, but maybe next time I’ll send you a really dramatic poster in black and white!”

“It’s a doll hat, how cute!  I think that Kit looks good with her little sun hat and her camera, hehe!”

“Thank you so much for the super sweet letter, and everything you sent me, you are just super sweet Samantha, and I’ll get right on writing a letter for you tonight!  I really hope we get to meet up this Summer, I think it’d be so fun!  Ok, bye Sam!  Love ya’!”

To this day, two years later, we still send each other letters, emails, and videos. We hope to meet up this summer, and our lives have been changed by this friendship that began with two girls who loved blogging about their dolls.

And just so you guys know, all this is actually true, it all happened, and we have sent each other so many letters… And I just think it’s pretty cool that we had a chance to become pen pals!  And we actually might me up this Summer here in California, since we live really, really far away from one another.
