Hey guys! It’s wednesday and you know what that means-A DIY! A couple days ago I decided to make mini bath bombs for the dolls, and this is the recipe that worked!
*disclaimer: These bath bombs do not in any way work. They do not fizz when you put them in water or anything, however they are scented and are perfect for doll scenes!*
What you will need:
-
2 parts baking soda
-
1 part cornstarch
-
1-2 parts water
-
food coloring
-
small bowls, and one medium one
-
spoon
-
*optional* essential oil
I’m using lemongrass essential oil, so mine will smell like lemon!
This is the bowl I’m using, just a standard bowl that you might eat salad out of.
Note-DO NOT EAT!
Begin by puring in the baking soda, cornstarch, and water into your medium sized bowl.
You should get something like this. ^^^
And mix it together! *mixie mix mix mix* You should get a grainy, pasty consistency. Add in a few drops of essential oil. until it smells pretty strong. 😀
Separate the mix into 3 bowls, or however many colors you are planning on doing! (the fish bowl is what we put the kitty cake in on Twila’s B-day, September 22nd! 😀 ❤ )
Drop in lots of food coloring, depending on what shade you want your bath bombs to be!
Mine looked like this. ^^^
Then, get out a disposable plate, and shape your dough into small sphere shapes! This may take a few tries. If you want multicolored bath bombs, put the different colors in your palm, mix slightly with your fingers, and then shape into a ball!
Mine looked like this when it was done! Allow for them to dry for a few days, because mine took 3 days to dry completely. And you’re done! I think these make great props for dollies, plus they smell great!
Do you like bath bombs? Tell me what you thought of this craft in the comments!

Thank you! They smelled really good. You should try one sometimes, it makes your bath different colors and it’s really satisfying to see it keep getting smaller and smaller… 😛
