“Hey everyone!  It’s the star of the AGDA fam… Molly Parker!  I play Astrid in our hit series, Solstice Children, and today, the whole entire cast will be answering your questions!  I wanted to call it Q & A MAMI but Emily wouldn’t let me…”

“That’s better!  So let’s start off with one of Sam’s internet besties, Rutvi’s questions!”

What was the inspiration for this series?

A few months ago, Sam started watching Aspen Heights and she got OBSESSED.  (Alexis please upload season 6 soon!)

We were inspired to make a second photo series, and Sam’s brother helped come up with the plot.

AND NO THAT IS NOT EVE ON THE SIDE PLEASE BELIEVE ME.

 

Fav character from solstice children?

Samantha’s favorite character is Hope.  She loves puns, clearly.  *eye roll*

Who was your fav OTP to write about?

Samantha doesn’t even have an OTP.  I know right?!  How dare she call herself a fangirl!  She wants to know YOUR Otp so she knows who should end up with who in the end.  My OTP, mine as Molly, is probably Collin and Hope.

What was the funniest thing that happened backstage?

“That Place is not my -“

“Your braids are undone Molly.”

“Emily, it’s the new trend.  Undone braids look tumblr.”

“Why are your using tumblr as an adjective?”

“That’s how you say it Emily!  Somebody *cough* emily *cough*  dropped the bag of hairties into a ditch.  So.”

Sophia: Was there ever a head-banging line that you had to say, even though it was immensely bad? What was it?

Take 52:  “Show me…. CHICKEN NUGGETS.”*bursts out laughing*

Hi guys!  I’m Maryellen, and I play Kiki in Season 2, the deceased queen in Season 1, and the deceased orphanage manager in Season 1.  Yes that was the real line in the series.  Yes that was actually in the script.

Issa: What did you guys amuse yourselves with on the journey to the set?

It was not a very amusing journey… Kit was trying to staple the dresses up so she wouldn’t have to wear them.

Autumn: Is Atticus really that cute in real life?

Um… I guess so??

Kaori: *rolls eyes* Did you have any stuntmen on set?

Nope, not really.  There are not many stunts done on set. and Sam takes pretty good care of us.

Which episode was the most fun to make?

 

How much time did you spend rehearsing?

“You must learn to act more mature if- LINE!”

Yeah we spent not a lot of time rehearsing.  Sam made a bunch of changed to the storyline on set, so we had to rethink EVERYTHING.  I think it turned out ok though.

 

Which character do you relate to most?

I definitely relate to Kiki!  She’s the one in the back, hiding.  (From what?  Oh the mystery…)  Kiki is sooo smart, but people think she’s really stupid because she says things that well… don’t make a lot of sense.

Emily told me that she was basically the DEFINITION of yours truy, Molly Rose Parker!

Kiki’s character was also based on Brianna from Aspen Heights.  🙂

How much time was spent “filming”?

Um… so we drove this spot by Sam’s Grandma’s house, and we had a week to shoot all the scenes.  ONLY A WEEK!  We finished most of the scenes, and we still have to shoot some of the ending ones.  But Grace was our crew manager, and she helped everything go pretty smoothly.

What is the funniest blooper?

*whispering*  “One Day these dolls will bow down to MEEE.  Mini dolls rule!!!”

“You know this is recording mini Sam… right?”

“Haha!  Just…kidding!  I’m an innocent little pixie, remember!  Hehe.  Hehe. He…”

How many times did the dolls fall over mid-picture-taking?

I’ve honestly lost count.

How did you do Eve’s braids in the finale part?

I just did two huge chunky fishtail braids.  I thought they were adorable! However, I was too lazy to do that hairstyle for Season 2, so I pretty much just kind of let her hair be down.  XD

Who is/was your favorite character?

Uh….

*dolls screaming to choose their characters*

I con’t say I have a favorite!  *nervous laugh*

AHH YES IT WAS SO FUN TO TORTURE YOU.  Let’s see… there are LOTS of deaths in Season 2 that you shall hate me for…. hehe.

Who was your least favorite character?

Uh… I honestly can say I don’t have a least favorite!!  Hehe..

Favorite costume?

I LOVED all of the dolls’ dresses!  I made Iris’, Kiki’s, and Astrid’s myself!  So… yep!  I think if I had to choose, it would be Iris’ dress though.  It’s so perfect for her!

Which pixie is your favorite?

AHH I LOVE THEM ALL THEY ARE JUST TOO CUTE!

How did you make the flower crown for the queen?

For both queens, I made it out of thin elastic, fake flowers, and tons of hot glue.  🙂

How do you take awesome photos when you don’t feel inspired? I struggle with that a lot.

Aww, thanks!  That’s too bad!  We basically had to shoot an entire season in 1 week, so lack of time was enough motivation for us!!

How has your photo series helped you develop bonds with certain dolls?

Um… nothing has really changed.  I basically just end up accidentally calling them their Solstice Children names instead of their real names sometimes.

How awkward can I possibly get when asked a question

 

How will you decide the ending of this story?

This will be the last season, sadly.  But a brand new photo series is in the works for 2018!

What made you decide to make this photo story?

I guess I just wanted to try to make a dystopian kind of photo series, ya know?  Like not so 1912-ish, if you get what I mean.  🙂

Will there be a season three of Solstice Children?

Nope!  Season 2 is the last season!  But rest assured, it will be the best season!!
